A Song

I love this song. I felt like singing it today. Comment on your thoughts on it.

Whenever I hear the song of a bird
Or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
Or the wind as it rushes by,
Whenever I touch a velvet rose
Or walk by a lilac tree,
I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heavenly Father created for me.

He gave me my eyes that I might see
The color of butterfly wings.
He gave me my ears that I might hear
The magical sound of things.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart:
I thank him reverently
For all his creations, of which I'm a part.
Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me.

I love songs and hymns that incorporate certain blessings of our world as things to be grateful of.
A lot of the time I find myself wishing that more hymns and songs, even the ones about the Atonement, would talk about the blessings of our world... Of course that would defeat the purpose of having a hymn about the Atonement, but I'm sure that there is a way that they can combine the two.

This has always been one of my favorite primary songs, and often makes me feel more like a child when I hear it. :-)
